STAR TEC Names Daniel James Scott as Client Services Manager

LARGO, Fla. (Aug. 24, 2009) – STAR Technology Enterprise Center (www.startecflorida.com), an innovation and entrepreneurship center for technology businesses, has named Daniel James Scott as client services manager.

"We are extremely pleased to have Daniel join us as client services manager," says Tonya Elmore, STAR TEC executive director. "His experience in consulting and understanding of what drives entrepreneurial success will be valuable for the many businesses we serve."

Prior to joining STAR TEC, Scott held positions at the University of South Florida, including business consultant for the Small Business Development Center, management instructor with the college of business and entrepreneurship instructor with the honors college. Previously, he was a commercial lender with Fifth Third Bank.

Scott holds master’s degrees in business administration and entrepreneurship in applied technologies, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, all from the University of South Florida. He is a certified technology business counselor by the American Small Business Development Center and credit risk certified by the Risk Management Association.
