LARGO, Fla. – (March 14, 2007) -- STAR Technology Enterprise Center (STAR TEC), a manufacturing and technology business accelerator located at the Young-Rainey Science, Technology and Research (STAR) Center in Largo, has admitted new tenant.
Fast Track Design & Sales Inc. is a newly formed product development company that takes ideas from the original concept phase, through scale up in-house manufacturing, and on to global product marketing and distribution. The design team’s first product offering uses “state of the art” electronics to provide a unique safety monitoring device for application in the growing 15 billion dollar per year recreational vehicle market.
“The quality of these companies demonstrates the maturation of STAR TEC as a business accelerator and our ability to attract companies to the Tampa Bay area,” says Rod Casto, PhD, Associate Vice President for Research and Executive Director,

Fast Track Design & Sales Inc. join five existing tenants, Alaka’i Consulting & Engineering, Inc. (next-generation sensor and technology services for the defense and security markets, www.alakai.us), Homeland Intelligence Technologies, Inc. (designs, develops and manufactures antiterrorism equipment on a fast-track basis, www.homelandintel.us), ReadyAlert Services LLC, (web-based emergency notification system, www.readyalert.com), Scalable Network Technologies (design, operation and management of communication networks through simulation, www.scalable-networks.com) and CyberShield Technologies (proactive security environment that isolates and redirects attacks before they breach perimeters, www.cybershieldtech.com).
