LARGO, Fla. – (Aug. 26, 2008) – STAR Technology Enterprise Center (http://www.startecflorida.com), a technology and light manufacturing business accelerator, will host an informative, recruiting session for businesses interested in becoming new STAR TEC clients.
The session will be held on Monday, Sept. 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the STAR TEC offices, Young-Rainey STAR Center, 7887 Bryan Dairy Road, Building 100, Second Floor, Largo. There is no charge to attend.
Growing manufacturing and technology companies headquartered in the Tampa Bay area that have been in operation for at least six months are invited to attend this session to learn how STAR TEC “accelerates entrepreneurial success” by offering mentoring, management counseling, shared services, a collaborative environment, information about capital sources and affordable rent.
“According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, 90 percent of businesses that partner with an accelerator like STAR TEC are still in business after five years,” explains Tonya Elmore, STAR TEC executive director. “As a startup company, it is imperative to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and contacts needed to compete in a fast paced global economy. STAR TEC provides each of these tools in a collaborative environment so clients are able to interact with and learn from past and present entrepreneurs.”
Reservations for the session may be sent to eversk@ctc.com. Those wishing additional information should contact Kay Mills, 727.547.7346.
